Out of an abundance of caution and by recommendation of Little League International, the Reston-Herndon Little League Board of Directors is immediately suspending the start of our spring season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  There will be no league activities that involve the gathering of individuals for games, practices, events, or meetings before April 13th.  While we would like nothing more than to begin our baseball season, our first priority is always the safety and well-being of our players and families.

At this time, RHLL still plans to hold all league activities currently scheduled on April 13th and beyond. For a list of those activities go to our league calendar.  The current delay will not cost the lower level divisions (Blastball, T-Ball, Rookie and A-Ball) any games and we will work hard to reschedule the games missed by the upper level divisions (AA, AAA & Majors).

Should Reston-Herndon Little League determine that the recommended delay of the season will extend past April 13th, we will provide timely notification and information regarding the impact of such a delay.

We will continue to follow the guidance of Little League Baseball and other professional entities as we closely monitor the situation. We are advising all our families to follow the guidelines set by the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Virginia Department of Health and the Fairfax County Health Department.

It is our hope that we will be able to resume our spring season and provide our families with an exciting, fun season of baseball that you have come to expect from RHLL.  Stay safe and we will see you on the baseball diamond soon enough!

Tim Jones, RHLL President
